Kimberley Lodge is a luxury mansion overlooking the historic town of Russell in the Bay of Islands, with panoramic views across the bay to Paihia, Waitangi and beyond. Colonial in style with wide verandahs and crystal chandeliers, the lodge was built of native timber only in 1989.
The soft, warm furnishings and a handcrafted Kauri dining suite complete the distinctive setting. Relax in an atmosphere of tranquillity while taking advantage of the ever-changing nature of the Bay.

The lodge has 5 individually decorated rooms and is air conditioned and centrally heated throughout. All have super king beds which can be converted to twins, IDD telephones, digital alarm clocks, Television and video facilities, an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, CD/Radio facilities, luxurious bathrobes, suitcase racks, writing desks, writing paper and envelopes. All have access to either a shared or private balcony.

Accommodation, breakfast, pre-dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres are included in the tariff. Gourmet table d'hote dinner is an extra cost and can be pre-booked, or arranged on a day-by-day basis. Virginia is a chef with 10 years experience, having worked in restaurants in Provence, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand. She takes delight in using the freshest organic and spray free products from local growers and will happily prepare the fish you caught that day. Guests can choose to dine with company in the formal dining room or have a private table set on their verandah or one of the garden terraces.

There is a guest kitchen on the first level, where guests may help themselves to tea, coffee, minibar as well as freshly baked muffins, cakes and cookies along with fresh fruit. Guests are also able to send and receive faxes from the office and are also able to offer limited Internet access for guests to check their emails.
