Manuels Resort Taupo is a 4 star Mediterranean style hotel right on
the shore of New Zealand's best known lake, Lake Taupo, renowned for
its trout fishing and water sports. Only 2 storeys high and stretching
along the foreshore, the hotel offers uninterrupted lake and mountain
views from 43 of its 51 rooms. Ground floor rooms have a patio leading
straight onto the beach while first floor rooms have private balconies.
Manuels Resort has
a wide variety of room styles beginning with 13 Studio doubles and including
14 deluxe rooms with super king or large twin beds and spa baths. There
are 6 queen-bedded rooms with separate lounge areas. Deluxe rooms have
stereo CD systems in addition to Sky television and some are air-conditioned.
The hotel has a heated swimming pool, a private grotto plunge pool,
sauna, a tennis court and its own rowing boats. It can arrange booking
for a huge range of activities on and around Lake Taupo, including yachting,
white water rafting, jet boating and tandem parachuting.
The
hotel has 2 restaurants and a lounge bar, all with superb views of the
lake. Right on the Lakefront, the multi-award winning Edgewater Restaurant
opens daily at 6pm for dinner, or guests can choose the casual Peppers
Brasserie. Lakefront Bar opens daily from 4.30pm, just the right time
to watch the sunset. There is also room service, and more restaurants
in the town centre five minutes by car away.
