Sheraton Auckland exterior viewSheraton Auckland Hotel & Towers won the 1998 New Zealand Tourism award for Best Hotel. Looking at the huge range of services the 5 star hotel offers, it is easy to see why. The hotel is in comfortable walking distance of the business district and a kilometre from Sky City Casino. It operates a courtesy shuttle service, which takes guests in a loop from the hotel to the waterfront and up the main street, Queen Street, back to the hotel every day and evening. The Link bus service connects the hotel with some of the city's cafe and shopping areas.

The hotel has extensive city views from many of its 411 rooms, which included upmarket Tower rooms with superb views from the 2 top floors. These include a large number of extra in-room amenities, a separate check-in, a guest lounge, separate business centre, evening cocktails and breakfast. All rooms and suites have a modem point, writing desk, mini bar, and television with on-demand movies.

Inside the restaurantSheraton Auckland has 3 bar restaurants including the SBF Brasserie and Oyster Bar which opens 24 hours a day. It has a seafood buffet, a la carte menu, sushi, antipasto and stir fry dishes. Its signature restaurant, Partingtons, is a New York style grill with excellent beef, lamb and seafood and an extensive wine list. Partingtons Winery at the centre of the hotel serves morning and afternoon teas, cocktails and wine by the glass, all accompanied by live entertainment except on Sundays. Guests can enjoy a really casual meal in the pub-style Someplace Else Bar. Wood fired pizzas are a specialty.

Relaxing by the poolThe hotel has an extensive health club bathed in sunlight and including a gymnasium, pool, sauna and massage. Many guest services, such as the concierge, room service and in-house laundry, operate around the clock. Apart from the free shuttle, there is a limousine service, undercover parking, babysitting, courier and postal facility.

Sheraton has 10 meeting rooms seating up to 900 theatre style and four small rooms with space for 20. It has a huge variety of sophisticated audiovisual and presentation equipment, ISDN and video conferencing, specialist technicians and conference staff.
