The Heritage Auckland is a unique art deco style property created out of the historic Farmer's department store in Hobson Street, parts of which were sensitively restored and incorporated in the hotel. While the Heritage Auckland Hotel Wing reflects the building's past, the Tower Wing offers a more contemporary design, and offers a choice of standard rooms or 1 and 2 bedrooms suites. All are large and feature polished recycled native timber floors and contemporary New Zealand artworks.

Hectors: the hotel's award winning signature restaurant, is one of the most original architecturally designed restaurants in Auckland. Set in the hotel's dramatic seven storey atrium, and specialises in fresh, innovative Pacific Rim cuisine. Located on level 2 of the hotel wing. Open daily 6.30am-10pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Azure: is a breakfast restaurant, however, it can be booked for lunch or dinner functions. Located in the Tower Wing, Azure's serene setting is complemented by a unique aquarium centrepiece and modern furnishings. The adjoining bar overlooks the hotel's vibrant lobby and distinctive water feature. Not open for breakfast during winter.

Lobby Bar: The high stud ceilings and spaciousness of the art deco design offers a unique environment in which to meet, or to relax and unwind.

Golf nearby: Heritage Auckland recommend “Gulf Harbour Country Club” designed by Robert Trent Jones- home of 1998 World Cup of Golf and 2005 New Zealand Open. Set on Whangaparaoa Peninsula and features spectacular ocean front holes.

Another golf course the hotel recommend is “Formosa Auckland Country Club”- 35km drive away – surrounded by lush farmland and views over Hauraki Gulf.
